(March 12, 2012) Pfizer Hong Kong has received the ‘Caring Company - 10 Consecutive Years Plus’ Logo from the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS), in recognition of its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
The ‘Pfizer Community Team’ conducts volunteer work and community projects to aid vulnerable groups. The Team collaborates with different charitable organizations to provide:

Donations from employees and the Company’s matching fund also ensure that much needed money is channeled effectively to benefit the less fortunate. These diverse initiatives go hand-in-hand with the Company’s mission of ‘Working Together for a Healthier World’.
For environmental protection, in addition to administering a 3R program – Reduce, Recycle and Reuse internally, the Company also organizes hands-on activities such as tree planting to empower employees to take an active role in environmental protection.
“Corporate social responsibility is deeply embedded in our culture – it’s in our DNA,” said Public Affairs and Communications Director Geraldine Ip. “Pfizer has always recognized our responsibility towards the communities in which we operate, the customers we serve, our employees as well as the environment. We take great pride in our CSR achievements and are committed to managing our growth in an ethical, sustainable way.”
“Fulfilling our CSR through our daily activities is how we live our values at Pfizer,” added Geraldine Ip. “Whether it is through contributing to society or conserving the environment, all of us at Pfizer understand how much more meaningful it is to give, rather than to only receive. We are committed to making a difference not only to the health but to the lives of people in Hong Kong.”
Launched by the HKCSS in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme aims at cultivating good corporate citizenship. It is specifically geared to building strategic partnerships among businesses and non-profit organizations to create a more cohesive society.
