(December 18, 2012) Pfizer Hong Kong has received the 2012 Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise (MAKE) Award in recognition of its clear and steadfast commitment to Knowledge Management (KM). The prestigious accolade was presented to Pfizer as the first bio-pharmaceutical company to excel in the Award’s stringent selection criteria. 

Inaugurated globally in 1998 by Teleos, a British foremost independent research company, the MAKE Award is a highly respected and well-recognized international benchmark for best practice knowledge organizations, established at global, regional and national levels.  In Hong Kong, the Award is administered by the Knowledge Management and Innovation Research Centre of the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.  

A panel of high profile senior business executives and leading knowledge management experts assessed contenders for the Award.  Pfizer Hong Kong was selected for leading its peers in intellectual capital and enterprise knowledge management, an approach which has positioned the Company well in today’s competitive, knowledge-based economy. In addition to best practices in the areas of training and talent development, Pfizer has invested in several initiatives to empower employees to pioneer and advance their own ideas so as to make a material impact on organizational performance.

Mr Leung received the Award on behalf of Pfizer Hong Kong at a ceremony held on December 18, 2012, together with other winning organizations that belonged to a wide variety of sectors, including public bodies, public utilities, accounting and construction.
