Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma, chronic angle-closure glaucoma and ocular hypertension.

Safety Profile1 top
CI: Known hypersensitivity to any component of Xalatan.
   
SP: Inflammatory, neovascular, angle-closure or congenital glaucoma, pigmentary glaucoma, pregnancy and lactation, contact lens users. Limited experience in open-angle glaucoma of pseudophakic patients. No experience in acute attacks of closed-angle glaucoma.
   
AR: Increased pigmentation of the iris.
   
DI: Effects additive to β-adrenergic antagonists, adrenergic agonists, carbonic anhydrase inhibitors and cholinergic agonists.

Dosages1 top
Adults, including elderly One drop (1.5 mcg) in the affected eye or eyes once daily in the evening. If one dose is missed, treatment should continue with the next dose as normal.

Strengths1 top
0.005% (50 mcg/mL).

Packing1 top
Eye drops 2.5 mL solution in a 5 mL bottle.
