| Viagra® is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) which is the inability to achieve or maintain a penile erection sufficient for satisfactory sexual performance. | ||

|
ADVERSE REACTIONS: Headache; flushing/vasodilation; dizziness; abnormal vision; chromatopsia; palpitation; rhinitis; dyspepsia.
INTERACTIONS: Nitric oxide donors or nitrates and nitrites in any form; reduction in sildenafil clearance when co-administered with CYP3A4 inhibitors (eg, ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin, cimetidine, saquinavir, ritonavir); co-administration with α-blocker may lead to symptomatic hypotension. |

Adults: 50 mg approximately 1 hour before sexual activity; based on effectiveness and toleration, dose may be increased to the maximum recommended dose of 100 mg or decreased to 25 mg.
Elderly: Initially 25 mg, may be increased to 50–100 mg based on effectiveness and tolerability. |

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Viagra® is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the drug’s excipients; patients concurrently using nitric oxide donors, organic nitrates or nitrites in any form either regularly or intermittently; co-administration with α-blockers.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS: Viagra® is not for use in men for whom sexual activity is inadvisable; patients with increased susceptibility to vasodilators; patients at risk of non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION); retinitis pigmentosa; bleeding disorders or active peptic ulceration; anatomical deformation of the penis or in patients who have conditions that may predispose them to priapism; combination with other treatments for ED; co-administration with α-blockers. POST-MARKETING ADVERSE REACTIONS: hypersensitivity reaction (including skin rash); seizure, seizure recurrence; tachycardia; hypotension, syncope, epistaxis; vomiting; eye pain/red/bloodshot eyes; prolonged erection/priapism. PREGNANCY and LACTATION: Viagra® is not indicated for use in women. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant or lactating women.
