Indications¹

Treatment of peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. Adjunctive therapy in adults with partial seizures with or without secondary generalization. Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults.

Safety Profile¹

CI:	Hypersensitivity to pregabalin or to any of the excipients of Lyrica.

SP:	Patients with rare hereditary problems of galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Renal impairment, diabetes. Pregnancy and lactation. Elderly >65 years, children <12 years. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery.

AR:	Very common Dizziness, somnolence. Common Increased appetite; euphoric mood, confusion, irritability, decreased libido; ataxia, abnormal coordination, tremor, dysarthria, memory impairment, disturbance in attention, paraesthesia.

DI:	Oxycodone, ethanol, lorazepam.

Dosages¹

Neuropathic pain Initially, 150 mg/day in 2–3 divided doses. May be increased to 300 mg/day after a 3- to 7-day interval up to a max dose of 600 mg/day after an additional 7-day interval. Epilepsy Initially, 150 mg/day in 2–3 divided doses. May be increased to 300 mg/day after 1 week. Max dose: 600 mg/day after an additional 1 week. GAD 150–600 mg/day given as 2–3 divided doses.
