Hypersensitivity to sulphonamides, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or other COX-2 selective inhibitors. Severe hepatic impairment, active peptic ulceration or gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding, inflammatory bowel disease, severe congestive heart failure. Pregnancy (3rd trimester) and lactation. |

Caution if used to treat post-coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) pain. Hepatic or renal impairment, hypertension, compromised cardiac function, conditions predisposing to fluid retention. Dehydration, history of upper GI perforations, ulcers or bleeds. May mask fever. |

Blood pressure changes, back pain, peripheral oedema, numbness, GI disturbances, renal impairment, agitation, insomnia, anaemia, sore throat, difficulty in breathing, pruritus, oliguria. |

Fluconazole, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors, diuretics, antihypertensives, cyclosporin, tacrolimus, warfarin, lithium, rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine, dexamethasone, methotrexate, substrates of CYP2C19 and CYP2D6. |
